On Saturday 26th October Millside Members gave up their day to help the appeal for a new Gamma Scanner for the Kings Mill Hospital.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity are  to need raise £550,000 as part of a campaign to bring a new high-tech scanner to King’s Mill Hospital to speed up the diagnosis of diseases like cancer.

Millside volunteers took over a vacant shop unit in Mansfield’s Four Seasons Shopping centre running a Tombola and encouraging donations in their cash tins.

A good day was had by all.

The amount raised will be published when the collection tins have been opened and the cash counted.
